ATOM Tokyo — Shibuya

ATOM is one of the first clubs people recommend in Shibuya, and it's popular any night of the week. It has three floors, each with its own vibe: the main floor plays all-mix hits, one level down features hip-hop and R&B, and the top floor moves into house and EDM. It's a short walk from Shibuya Station, making it an easy stop even if you're just checking it out for a bit.

Expect a young, energetic crowd and a dance floor that fills up quickly. Bring cash for cover, and arriving before midnight usually means a shorter line and a lower entry price.

WARP — Shinjuku

WARP is a newer addition to Tokyo's club scene, and it's already earned a spot on the world's top club rankings. The theme, "Tokyo in 100 years," comes through in fun details like LED screens behind the DJ booth that open to reveal dancers mid-set. There are three dance floors, with the two smaller rooms leaning into house and techno for a change of pace from the main room.

One nice touch: doors open at 9pm, earlier than most Tokyo clubs. It's a great option if you'd rather start the night early instead of waiting around.

BAIA — Shibuya

BAIA spans five floors just off Scramble Crossing, with a look that stands apart from nearby clubs. The design draws inspiration from ancient Rome, with marble and turquoise details throughout, giving it a bright, distinct atmosphere. There's also a rooftop terrace with skyline views, a nice spot to take a breather between rounds.

The crowd tends to be international, and the club has already welcomed some well-known guests since opening. It's a great newer option in Shibuya alongside the neighborhood's longtime favorites.

ZOUK Tokyo — Ginza

ZOUK brings a nightlife brand with roots in Singapore and Las Vegas to Ginza, a neighborhood better known for fine dining than dance floors. The club spans two basement floors with a nine-meter ceiling, and features the "Mothership" lighting rig that's become ZOUK's signature at every location around the world.

This is a great pick for a dressier night out. Smart casual is the way to go, and the VIP table experience reflects the same style as ZOUK's Vegas location. If you're looking for a big room with real production value, it's worth the visit.

CÉ LA VI — Shibuya

CÉ LA VI sits on the 17th and 18th floors of Tokyu Plaza in Shibuya, and the view alone makes the elevator ride worthwhile. It's part restaurant, part sky bar, part club lounge, so the evening can flow naturally from dinner into dancing without ever changing locations. The terrace overlooks Shibuya Scramble, with Tokyo Tower glowing in the distance.

It leans more toward atmosphere than high energy, making it a great choice if you're after a great view and an easygoing pace.

Shibuya for energy, Shinjuku for a more local feel, Ginza for polish, and a rooftop for anyone who wants a view with their night out. Part of the fun in Tokyo is hopping between a few different spots rather than staying in just one.
